Good morning y’all! My last post of favorites from 2016 contains my favorite products. This post will be a mixed bag of items. Some of them may not come as a shock to you if you’ve been here a while, but I hope others are items you may find useful for the new year as well! Stay tuned tomorrow for my last wrap up post of 2016 as I review my goals and how I did! Let’s get right into these favorites.
Y’all know that I love Rifle Paper Co. hard. DG and I also are juggling pretty heavy schedules most days, too. The appointment calendar is huge for us as it hangs on the side of our fridge. We sit down at the beginning of each month and write down our events and make a meal plan. The desk calendar works for me with the online classes I teach and I have the hanging calendar in my office at work.
I am a huge planner snob and it took me a while to find one that I liked, but now that I have found Emily Ley’s Simplified Planner, I have no desire to go back. I love the lay out of the pages, the spaces that are provided, and the variety of choices for covers.
I’ve floated around between mascaras for a while now, but after seeing Cameran from Southern Charm’s post about the mascara she uses, I decided to give it a whirl. OMG. I will never not use this brand.
I’ve been a long time fan of Capri Blue candles and while it’s hard not to love Volcano, the scents at Anthro are really amazing. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I always have a Fir & Firewood and Gardenia & Fig candle on hand. I also received a diffuser for my desk at work, and I highly recommend. I don’t usually like diffusers, but the scent is just strong enough to fill my office, but not obnoxious.
This keychain is made by my friend Sarah and I have loved having it on my work keys. It makes my office keys so much more stylish. Check out her entire shop while you’re at it, because this necklace is pretty fabulous, too. You also saw that here.
I always love cute pajamas, but I get really hot when I sleep, so I don’t like flannel if I can help it. I love these because they are festive for holidays, but are cotton so they’re super lightweight and comfortable.
I read somewhere once that Joanna Gaines swears by this perfume. I smelled it at Anthro one day thinking that it may not be the right notes for my skin, but it quickly became my favorite. Remember y’all, if Joanna does it, then Meghan does it.
I am obsessed with the color and quilting on this bag. I use it for when I go straight from work to Pure Barre, overnight trips, blogging shoots, and if I just need some extra room on an afternoon adventure.
I guess I have been living under a rock, but when I met Sheila at Monkee’s of Raleigh for a fashion show, I was admiring her hoops. I went and looked at the display, felt her hoops for the first time, and instantly fell in love. I used to wear really heavy earrings, and my holes have started to rip, so I gave up wearing my favorite pair of hoops because of how heavy they were. I had been eyeing these hoops for a while, but had no idea they would be as lightweight as they are. I now own a few pairs and have my eye on a couple of more. I can’t rave enough.
When I was 19, I bought myself a Lauren for my Christmas present to myself. I had just broken up with a boyfriend and thought my world was over. That Christmas present was my favorite for a long time. DG bought me a new one for my birthday one year, and now I own a couple of holiday ones as well. I use one as my every day wallet, but love that I can also use it as a clutch if needed.
I had an unexpected trip pop up in the spring, and I sometimes get nervous flying. I found this little cocktail to go kit and couldn’t pass it up! I got DG a gin & tonic one for a bachelor party he flew for as well. We’re big fans.
I love both the lined & the unlined. I keep one in my purse in case I have an idea that hits me or I need to write a to-do list. I should actually start purging some or merging others, but I love all the designs too much.
