The weather has been a beautiful taste of summer recently, and I find myself reaching for infused waters. DG and I both gave up drinking juices and sodas and our answer has been infused water. DG’s favorite combination is just lemon and lime and mine is lavender and lemon. I like to switch up my flavors, and I try to incorporate lemon into most of my waters. If you squeeze lemon directly into the water, it helps with detox.
DG and I each have a big pitcher we make and fill up. This is also great to have on hand for guests since we don’t keep soda stocked in our house. I usually let my infused water sit for about 3-4 hours to achieve the best flavor. If you make a big pitcher like we do, keep in mind that adding water will dilute the flavors. We try to not let our water sit for more than a couple of days, but keeping it in the refrigerator helps keep the fruit fresh.
