Happy Monday, y’all! Hope you had a great weekend! I had the best time back east with my buddy KP. We left Friday morning to spend the night in Jackson before moving on to Edenton to check it out for the first time. We got to Jackson in time for lunch with my mom and some shopping and went back to relax for a bit before dinner.
We kicked off dinner with a wine tasting at Bay Sire. I’m consistently impressed that the wine isn’t typical North Carolina muscadine wine (read: reallyyyyy sweet).
We had nachos for an appetizer, which was delish.
I ordered a grilled pimento cheese sandwich for dinner.
I love this sweet little town, and twinkle lights make everything prettier.
Saturday morning, KP and I headed out for Edenton. It is seriously just as gorgeous as I imagined.
KP and I are both history lovers, so we loved touring the old houses. When we saw a trolley tour, we immediately went and signed up.
We got some shopping in too. I loved these floors at an antique shop.
We had a great time sight seeing, shopping, and just wandering around. It was a nice little vacation.
We finished with a late lunch/early dinner at 309 Bistro, which I highly recommend. I ordered the taco salad and loved it.
We got back around 6:30 on Saturday. Sunday, DG and I grabbed brunch, took care of things around the house, and got ready for the week.
Winston wasn’t exactly excited the weekend came to an end as quickly as it did.
So, I’ll leave you with this:
How was your weekend? Link up and tell Biana and me all about your weekend.

Sounds like a yummy, fun filled weekend! My husband and I love historical stuff too so that trolley tour sounds like a blast! Glad you had fun exploring a new city!!
Such a fun weekend!! I love that lace top you're wearing!! I can totally relate on most NC wines – I usually avoid them because they're way too sweet!
yes muscadine wine is probably the sweetest ever! i can only drink a little! love your lace top too.
I love touring old houses/places too!! It's one of my favorite things to do while I'm traveling! Sounds like a great weekend.

Wine tasting to start the weekend sounds fabulous and your meal that night, delicious! I love those little twinkle lights – I love when places have them! Touring the houses sounds like it would be beautiful and the shopping/sightseeing sounds like a perfect little weekend away!
What a fab weekend!! I love touring historical homes, so fantastic! Happy Monday.
I could eat Nachos every day!!!!!
I also think twinkling lights need to be on trees year round.
I love that picture of Winston! My dog does that when I tell him it's time to get up in the morning. Sounds like you a had a great weekend!
Looks like such a great time.
I have a big crush on your white, lace shirt, too cute! Hope you had a great weekend and Easter!
Sounds like such a fun weekend! All of that food looks sooo good!

I kinda like sweet wine, but it is nice to switch it up too. Looks like a great time and the floor were pretty. I second Winston's sentiment. Boo to the weekend being over.
Sounds like an amazing, relaxing weekend to me! And the picture of W, melt my heart!!! Happy Monday love!
Sounds like a great time! I will admit, I have heard "muscadine" wine in country songs and I always thought they were saying "musky dang wine." It's a good thing I've never been there and ordered that in a restaurant! 🙂
Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend! The nachos gave me a serious craving and now I feel the need to go hunt some down!
