One of the things I started doing a few years ago was creating a weekly meal plan. I found that if we didn’t have set meals planned out, we ate out more and we were eating unhealthy foods on top of that. Meal planning forces us to eat at home because we don’t want to waste food and we focus on eating healthier options.
However, grocery shopping isn’t one of my favorite pasttimes, especially in the summer when I’d much rather be laying by the pool than trudging through the grocery store. Whole Foods & Instacart solved this dilemma by offering an easy way to pick up fresh groceries and get them to you at a time that is convenient to your schedule.
First things first, check and see if Instacart delivers to your zipcode.
Triangle Readers: here are the initial 17 zipcodes that Instacart serves: 27605, 27601, 27608, 27609, 27607, 27612, 27615, 27560, 27513, 27511, 27518, 27606, 27701, 27514, 27707, 27705, and 27510.
Once you go through the steps of confirming your zipcode is served by Instacart, create an account.
Once your account is set up, you’ll be able to pick a store to deliver from. There was only one option for me to pick, but the store provides you information about the delivery times available and the prices in the store.
Then you’re all set up to begin shopping. The landing page will tell you if you qualify for any discounts (like free shipping!) and also will show you the deals of the week. It also shows coupons available to use.
And now it’s time for shopping fun!
And if you didn’t save a coupon on the landing page for an item that you add to your cart, Instacart notifies you so you can still get your discount.
Once you are ready to check out, it’s a breeze!
Once you are ready to check out, you’ll be asked for your delivery address. I really like the option to deliver to a business. There are times where last minute meetings are organized and having a delivery option for snacks would be such a great help!
If there is an item out of stock, it is replaced with a similar option. I received text messages throughout the entire shopping experience letting me know what items were being replaced. That text included a link I could click to opt out of the replacement. I opted to keep all my replacements and DG and I were both incredibly pleased with our shopper’s picks.
And lastly, you pick your delivery time. I received realtime updates, including when the shopping started, when the checkout occurred, and what time I could expect my delivery. I also received a text notifying me that the delivery was successful.
I highly recommend Instacart for Whole Foods for the ease and flexibility it provides!
If you’re interested in trying Instacart for Whole Foods, use code C&S10 for $10 off your first order and free delivery! The code is valid through August 31 at 11:59PM Pacific time.
I mean, you could shop this easily at home and enjoy extra snuggles or that extra episode of Orange is the New Black.
