Good morning & Happy Friday! Â I hope you had a great week. Â I am so sad to see October coming to an end! Â It’s my favorite month and it was unseasonably warm in North Carolina. Â Also, it’s been an unusually busy month, so I feel fully prepared for the running around the holidays will offer! Â Here is a mixed bag of some of my favorites from this month. Â PS: North Carolina folks: stay tuned for a short giveaway for Sunday’s Pork & Vine Festival in downtown Raleigh!
IT Cosmetics
I am a huge fan of IT Cosmetics, and have been using their products religiously. Â Here are some of my favorites:
Poole’s Diner Cookbook
On Tuesday, I attended a lecture at N.C. State’s Hunt Jr. Library to hear Ashley Christensen speak about her new cookbook, her restaurants in Raleigh, and her generosity in downtown Raleigh! Â You’ve heard me talk about Ashley Christensen on here for my fangirling over Poole’s Diner. Â I also am a huge fan because she uses her platform for positive change. Â Every one of her restaurants has a “Don’t Forget to Vote” reminder on the windows. Â Her civic responsibility is one of my favorite things about her (aside from her amazing meals). Â She has always gone above and beyond to make her guests feel like, well, guests. Â I can’t wait to read her cookbook!

The Magnolia Story
This book is seriously amazing. Â I love that Joanna and Chip use their platform for such positive change in their town. Â I highly recommend you reading it. Â Their story is inspirational, funny, and sweet, and it’s a quick and easy read.

Pork + Vine Festival at the Wine Feed
This year’s Pork + Vine Festival features pairing from restaurant partners Gravy, Oval Park Grille, Patrick Jane’s Bar & Bistro, Buku, and Gonza Tacos with perfect wine pairings from The Wine Feed. Â Even if you don’t win tickets, there are still tickets available. Â Portions of proceeds go to Raleigh’s Stop Hunger Now, an organization founded in Raleigh to provide meals and aid to hungry families and individuals in Raleigh. Â I attended the Hook & Vine Festival in the Spring and am so looking forward to this event. Â Here’s a recap.
Hope you have a great weekend!
