Good morning & welcome to the first post of 2018! If you were following along on Instagram, DG & I were in New Orleans for a couple of days as our Christmas gift to each other. I really love this annual tradition we created in 2014, and I am even more excited to share our hotel and our experience with you in the coming weeks! I cannot believe we are in a new year and this is the December Instagram roundup!
This photo is one of my favorites of our family! DG and I are in the process of printing new photos for our home, and this is definitely one we will be using.

I loved sharing our holiday home tour with y’all. Some of my favorite images are below, and products are linked in this post. Warby Parker eye glasses here.
Is anyone ever truly emotionally prepared for Monday? I am trying to be better about this, but I find during the holidays, it is even more of a struggle than normal.
Angela, Courtney, Glory, and I had the most fun morning at the Family Farm on Avent Ferry. Here are some of my favorite images from our shoot below. Original post can be found here.
This outfit from J.Crew Factory at Tanger Mebane is one of my favorites for the season. See original post here.
This sweater (c/o J. Jill) and these earrings (c/o Lisi Lerch) are current obsessions.
One of my favorite holiday traditions with DG is the Oakwood Candlelight Tour in Raleigh. Add it to your calendar for next year if you have never been! It was even more special this year with the light snow fall we had.
These flannel pj bottoms and slippers are my favorite for winter.
Having Zoe’s Kitchen cater our 5th annual Christmas party was the best decision we’ve ever made. See more here.
I love this view from the Family Farm on Avent Ferry.
These photos of outfit inspirations for the holidays were some of my favorites.
I still love this sweater and hat combo, originally seen here.
I hate how quickly the holidays pass. I tried to stop and be present this year, but it still goes by in what feels like the blink of an eye. Outfit here.
DG and I tried bartaco in Chapel Hill for dinner. There is one opening in North Hills and I am super pumped about that. Our tacos were delicious, and I loved tasting their secret taco. It’s an avocado taco in tempura. It was absolutely delicious!
DG and I had the best time in New Orleans and are excited to share our stay at Le Pavillon on Friday! We had beautiful weather and the city is so amazing.
While our New Year’s Eve was not glamorous, we had an enjoyable evening discussing our goals, both individual, as a couple, travel, and for home. I love these pants as an option for the winter months.
