Now that it is summer, I find myself looking for places for day trips on weekends. One of my favorite parts about writing this blog is that I get to share some of my favorite spots in North Carolina with you. Over the past few years, I have had a great time exploring local areas to be able to write day trip guides for I’m Fixin’ To. I am so excited to share some of my favorite North Carolina small towns for road trips this summer.
- Fearrington Village
- Blowing Rock
For my most recent day trip to Tarboro, I loved driving the Land Rover Discovery. I have driven a few different models of Land Rovers, and the Discovery is such an icon. I have always loved a sunroof, and this Discovery had a dual moon roof, which is definitely a favorite feature! Now that the warm weather has hit and is here to stay in North Carolina, the cooling seats feature is a great addition to having heated seats. I really like having the navigation system displayed on both the dash and the center console. Check out Land Rover Discovery at Land Rover Cary.
Where are your favorite small towns to visit? DG and I are looking forward to exploring some new places and some of our favorite ones this summer. Be sure to follow along on Instagram & here to see more of exploring. We’ll be doing a good mix of areas in both the eastern part of North Carolina, but adding more of the west, too.
