When I was younger, I thrived on spontaneity and excitement. While I still like those things, I don’t really have time for spontaneity because of my career obligations and grad school deadlines. So, I rely on a really good spa day every now and then to relax and feel rejuvenated. Today, I wanted to share the four best spas in Raleigh!
Idolize Brows & Beauty: Facials & Waxing
Idolize on Falls of Neuse Rd. is brand new and gorgeous! Idolize offers Dermalogica Skin Treatments, and I really enjoyed the Skin Brightening Facial I had. The treatment was great and I left feeling fresh-faced and relaxed. One of my favorite parts about facials are the hand and arm massages and this one did not disappoint! I also got an eyebrow wax after my facial, which is my favorite way for an instant boost to my make up routine. Check out a full menu of their services, including lash extensions! Bonus! If you book an appointment by August 21, you’ll receive 50% off your service for a grand opening special!
The Umstead: Massages
The Umstead is one of my favorite places to spend a day off. I love to get there early and sit by the fireplace with a cold compress and cucumber slices before heading up for an aromatherapy massage. I tend to schedule earlier massages so I can sit by the pool or enjoy the other amenities in the spa before heading home. I always leave feeling so relaxed and calm, which with my anxiety isn’t easy to achieve. See more here, here, and here.
Lorena Luca: Body Treatments
I have rather dry skin, so the Frangipani Body Wrap at Lorena Luca is a great option for me. Lorena Luca has such a gorgeous relaxation room, and I love to arrive early to have a cup of tea before my treatment. This one makes my skin feel so good and gives me the opportunity to unplug for 65 minutes. See more here.
Paintbase: Manicures & Pedicures
My most consistent form of relaxation is to see my girl Kham at Paintbase on Glenwood South. I have really made the most of my membership with my monthly manicure and pedicure. I always look forward to catching up with Kham. I usually turn my phone off or leave it in the car so I can take some time to unplug, which is really important for me these days. See more here, here, here, and here.
Where is your favorite spa in Raleigh? What is your favorite spa treatment?
Special thanks to Idolize Brows and Beauty for hosting me for a skin brightening facial and eye brow wax. As always, all opinions are my own.
