While some of these booties are styles that I have had for quite a few seasons now, some of these are new on the scene. I like to pick booties that work with a variety of items in my closet including dresses, skirts, and skinnies. Let me know your favorite style in the comments at the end!
My Favorite Cute Winter Booties
I have lived in these booties this season. You’ve seen them paired here with a sweater dress from our date night in Durham. I’ve also paired them with a pencil skirt, tights, and a sweater and more casually on weekends with skinnies and either a sweater or a chambray button down. I would definitely define them as my most-worn and I cannot recommend them enough.

I picked up these booties back in December on a rare sale for winter wear. I love that the shearling cuff can be rolled down to show off more of the shearling. They also come with two pairs of shoe laces, including the red shown here or a brown pair for a more tonal look. I sprayed these with this weather proof spray so that I could get more use out of them without ruining them in rain or snow. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten to wear them as much in January since it’s been unseasonably warm! However, these booties are currently 30% off with code LNGWKND and worth every penny!
I’ve had these rain booties for at least 4 years now and they’re still going strong! While I do love Hunter Boots, I find these easier to navigate for work. We’ve had quite a bit of rain recently, so I’ve styled them for work with tights paired with dresses and skirts. They’re also cute with skinnies and a flannel. I highly recommend these — bonus, they’re on sale right now.
I typically find myself wearing grays and tans, but I did pick up a pair of black ankle booties and have been pleasantly surprised with how much I have worn them. The cuff is a bit taller than I am accustomed to, which has actually been comfortable. They’re great for work or dressing up a casual outfit for a weekend dinner. See full outfit details here.
These booties were a purchase from a few years ago and I have gotten a ton of wear out of them! I loved them in New Orleans for walking around the city. They also pair great with work outfits to dress them down a bit, as seen here paired with a sweater dress.
