It’s such a wonderful time of year here in North Carolina and David and I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Enjoy an Afternoon in Fearrington Village
It is no secret that I enjoy Fearrington Village and its restaurants on site. It’s a perfect place to spend an afternoon! Start with coffee, head to the spa, and then stay to enjoy wine and dinner at the Fearrington House Restaurant. And of course, I will also advocate for spending the night at the inn so that you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast and coffee overlooking the pasture.

Celebrate NC Agriculture at the North Carolina State Fair

David and I always enjoy a day date at the North Carolina State Fair! We always bring a list of what we want to eat while there and make stops at our favorite exhibits, including the flowers and garden center, the Village of Yesteryear, and the animal exhibits. The Our State Public House serves up NC craft beer, wine, ciders, and sodas and is where we always end our trip!
Cheer on the Carolina Courage

David and I are both big sports fans, especially women’s soccer! So, head to downtown Cary for dinner and then cheer on the Carolina Courage! Their box seats are a great way to experience the action!
Catch a College Football Game
Between Duke University, NC State University, and UNC-Chapel Hill, there are lots of opportunities to catch a good college football game. We like to try and catch a college football game each fall, and this year, we went to the Carolina home opener in Chapel Hill. We started our date at Carolina Brewery for dinner and a brew before catching the Sky Blue Express to Kenan Stadium! It was a great option to get to and from the stadium for the game.
