It is no secret that I love a getaway to Fearrington Village in Pittsboro and a great way to experience it is by booking a spa visit. The Spa at Fearrington has a Swedish farmhouse design with natural simplicity and understated elegance in its decor. The spa offers massages, facials, body treatments, and nail appointments. I had a delightful European facial featuring Elemis products, while David enjoyed the Fearrington Swedish massage. Book an overnight getaway to include a spa appointment and enjoy disconnecting for a bit!

I am all about highlighting hidden gems and The Stable Spa at the Horseshoe Farm is perhaps my favorite to date! I visited for a morning at the spa before having lunch on the property and I was already plotting my next trip back. The spa is one of the most relaxing spaces I have ever visited and I love the nods to the history of the property all throughout the spa. There is a sound bath, lots of seating areas to enjoy a cup of tea and the scenery, and a delightful spa shop. Make an appointment here and enjoy the property to its fullness. I highly recommend booking your massage with Melisa! She is a genuine angel.

The Umstead Spa is one of my favorite places to spend a day off in the Raleigh area. I always make an appointment that allows me to enjoy the facilities and amenities. My go-to move is to arrive early to sit by the fireplace with a cold compress and cucumber slices before heading up for an aromatherapy massage. During the warmer months, spa guests who book through Mondays through Thursdays get to enjoy the pool and fitness facilities. All spa guests get access to the sauna, the whirlpool, co-ed lounges, the co-ed current pool, and the meditation courtyard. I also recommend planning to enjoy a meal at the bar and lounge menu. It is truly a magical spot in Wake County! P.S. I am excited to visit next month to experience the renovations the spa went through last year! Stay tuned for updated photos and notes on my experience.
