Last weekend, DG & I took a quick getaway to the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro. Â January proved to be a busy month for us, and February doesn’t really indicate that things are slowing down any time soon. Â So, we thought it’d be perfect to get way for a night to celebrate our 6th (!!) anniversary. Â And, yeah. Â We still celebrate when we started dating. Â Remember, celebrate every little thing. Â DG spends a fair amount of time in Greensboro, but I’ve really only ever driven through. Â We thought the Proximity Hotel seemed like a fun, unique place to stay and we were not disappointed.
The Proximity is a beautiful hotel but what I loved the most was that it is a green hotel. Â It uses 70+ sustainable practices, including solar panels to provide hot water. Â We enjoyed having a drink in the social lobby overlooking the Bluebell Garden. Â Also on site is the delicious Print Works Bistro, where we had brunch. Â I loved the boxwood details in the interior and it felt like stepping into a restaurant in Paris. Â There is complimentary transportation between The Proximity and the O.Henry Hotel, the Proximity’s sister hotel, which has the yummy Green Valley Grill. Â DG and I had dinner at Green Valley and rode in style in the most adorable checkered cab. Â After dinner, we enjoyed jazz night, which the O.Henry offers every Saturday night.
I also couldn’t get over the decor in the room! Â There was shiplap on the ceiling. Â Be still my Joanna Gaines’ loving heart. Â It also had the most beautiful chandelier and sitting area. Â We curled up with coffee in the morning and enjoyed catching up on reading. Â There is also a drink station on every floor that is fully stocked with beverages and has a sitting area with a laptop & printer for you to use if you need to do some work. Â It’s the perfect spot for a date night getaway!

I haven’t spend much time in Greensboro either, but that hotel is STUNNING. Perfect place to go for a staycation!
I was just in Greensboro working yesterday and I was blown away by how much it has blossomed! I would love to spend a weekend there exploring. It looks like you and your hubby had a great time!
