While David and I always love hosting houseguests, the holiday season is definitely our favorite time to welcome gusts into our home. Â We love decorating our home with touches of family decorations from my grandparents and items we have picked along the way together. Â Today, with the help of Wente Vineyards, we are sharing 3 tips for hosting holiday houseguests.
1. Have a bottle of wine with glasses ready for guests.
After sharing 5 ways to prepare a guest room over the summer, I heard from several readers that they always provide a bottle of wine for their guests. Â I absolutely loved this recommendation for helping prepare a guest room and what a better way to welcome guests to your home.
David and I love Wente Vineyards for celebrations, and their 2017 Riva Ranch Vineyard Chardonnay is the perfect bottle to welcome guests and a great wine for the holidays.  Wente Vineyards 2017 Riva Ranch Vineyard Chardonnay also is the perfect gift to take to as a guest at a holiday party.
2. Prepare a snack for guests.
I like to keep pimento cheese and a variety of crackers and veggies available for snacks. Â It is a quick and easy snack to prepare and pairs perfectly with wine. Â Pimento cheese is such a Southern staple and one of our favorite appetizers to share.
3. Tidy up the space.
We take the time to give our living spaces a little extra TLC prior to guests arriving. Â That way, we can relax once guests have arrived, and all our spaces feel fresh and clean.
David and I look to Wente Vineyards because the brand prides itself on creating memorable moments with those we care about most. Â We welcomed my parents for Thanksgiving dinner with a glass of 2017 Riva Ranch Vineyard Chardonnay and will uncork bottles at holiday gatherings throughout December.
