Hey there! I’m Meghan, the founder and voice behind I’m Fixin’ To.
Born and raised in northeastern North Carolina, I now call Raleigh home. I’m passionate about sharing authentic, high-quality content that reflects the things I truly love—whether it’s exploring new places, indulging in good food and wine, or soaking up the stories of history and architecture.
You might find my work in local publications, where I’ve had the chance to speak on blogging panels and freelance for both print and digital media. When I’m not writing, you can usually find me snuggling my two rescue dogs (Winston & Ruthie B), devouring a good book on our front porch, shopping locally, or daydreaming about my next adventure with my husband, David. I love exploring hidden gems, getting lost on backroads, and making our house a home.
The name I’m Fixin’ To comes from a Southern phrase that’s been part of my vocabulary my whole life—it means “about to.” My dad still teases me for it, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
