Hello Blog World!
This is my first blog post… on Blogger. I’ve been blogging over at Tumblr for a while, but decided to up my blog game!
My name is Meghan and I am an alum of East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. I am a runner, a self-proclaimed foodie, a southern belle, and a fashion enthusiast.
Some of my favorite things:
My fiance, DG, and my furball Winston are my saving graces. DG and I have been together for around 2 1/2 years and are getting married next summer in Raleigh, NC. Winston was adopted from the Wake County SPCA when he was 8 weeks old and is such a goofball.
My parents are super important to me. I don’t have any siblings, and I’ve been lucky to have such supportive and understanding parents. My mama and I are best friends. She’s still the person I call whenever anything happens in my life.
I have made it a goal to run a half marathon a year. This year, I’m running the Bull City Race Fest-Half Marathon. It may or may not be because of the food truck rodeo following the race!
Over the years, I have been blessed with really great friends. They will grace this blog frequently. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of all of us together, so this will be sporadic.
I am a teacher in my real life. I will be starting my fourth full year of teaching at a local high school. I can’t get over it… I don’t feel like I’ve been teaching for that long. I love my job, the school I teach at is fantastic, and some of my best friends work with me at my school.
I am a home owner and am constantly finding projects to do around the house. I’ve become pretty crafty and a reasonably good cook. Stay tuned for some of my favorite recipes.
Right now, I’m on summer break from my school. One of the perks to being a teacher is having a few weeks off. I love being able to sleep in a little, have a cup of coffee while watching TV and catching up on my blogs and then starting on random projects I’ve procrastinated around the house during the school year.
