One of the questions I get asked the most are for places open for dinner on Mondays! It’s a great question because it is a night that some downtown Raleigh restaurants typically are closed. Here are 5 of my favorite restaurants that are open in downtown Raleigh for Monday night dinner service.Ā Please do check their websites/social media before going to ensure that they are, in fact, open. And make a reservation when you can!Ā
Top 5 Restaurants Open on Mondays in Downtown Raleigh
Barcelona Wine Bar

Barcelona Wine Bar is a warm and welcoming tapas bar inspired by the culture of Spain. The ever-changing menu is focused on clean flavors, seasonal ingredients, specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean, and rustic small plate presentations created by chefs with tremendous talent. Their patio in Raleigh’s Warehouse District is one of the best in Raleigh and I very much enjoy the dining experience! Go with friends to share their small plates and if it mussels are on their menu, order them!
St. Roch Fine Oysters and Bar

One of my very favorite places to eat in Raleigh is St. Roch–we start with the pimento cheese and fried saltines and then I always get the pimento’d oysters and the pomme frites before finishing with beignets. They have a great variety of seating options as well. I prefer to sit at the bar, though their dining room and their window seats (my second favorite spot!) are cozy, and they have patio seating plus seating out front if you prefer outdoor dining! St. Roch is a New Orleans inspired restaurant with a no-frills approach to their dining experience.
Taverna Agora

Taverna Agora is an authentic Greek kitchen & bar where friends & family enjoy good wine, eat wonderfully prepared, simple food and relax. Their rooftop is one of the best spots in Raleigh and is a great happy hour spot! If I’m there for happy hour, I will always get the trio of spreads with the spicy feta, sun-dried tomato hummus, and tzatziki spreads. Try the FlembĆ©ed Saganaki (flaming cheese, y’all!) as well! And their Souvlaki Skewer Platters are a great option–the chicken is my go-to entree order.
Vidrio

Oh, y’all. Vidrio isĀ so gorgeous and such a fun atmosphere. This gem of a restaurant is a great spot for date night or for dinner with your girlfriends! I highly recommend ordering lots of small plates to share for a fun dining experience. Some of my favorites include the patatas bravas, burrata and root veggies, and the charred octopus.
Wye Hill

It’s no secret that Wye Hill is one of my go-to favorite spots for outdoor dining in Raleigh. You can’t beat the views from the patio and their drinks & food areĀ delicious. I cannot recommend their deviled eggs andĀ pimento cheese enough for starters. And I alternate between their falafel waffle (with beet hummus!) or the Farmer’s Burger. My pro-tip is to ask for the chips that are served with the pimento cheese for your side. Those live rent free in my head.
Two bonus restaurants open on Mondays are Trophy Pizza & Brewing on Morgan St. and our very favorite, Poole’s Diner.
