Welcome to the new site, y’all! I’m SO excited to have you here as I launch into the new version of this space. I really felt that I outgrew Champagne & Suburbs, but it would be remiss to regret the time I spent with that part of the blog. I grew so much as a writer and a person, and though there were times I was frustrated or felt like a failure, I wouldn’t have gotten to this point if I never started there.
For the past 3 years, I have kept this space quite hushed from my personal life, but I feel ready to be more open about this now. I feel that the space will be more reflective of me as a person, instead of surface level where I just share things I’d like to buy. I hope you will stick around as you get to know me more through I’m Fixin’ To.
My rebranding photo shoot was perhaps my favorite photoshoot of all time. I have always loved a reason to dress up, have my hair & make-up done, and to listen to fun playlists that include Madonna’s Like a Prayer. But, this shoot was fun because I felt it captured my interests and likes perfectly. I love a historic home with a good chandelier. I love entertaining with mason jars and swivel straws. But I also love my busted up cowboy boots.
I am truly excited about this next phase of my writing and I am happy to have you along for the ride.
P.S. I made the jump to WordPress. I’ll be sharing more about why I chose to make the switch in the coming weeks. Major thanks to Lindsay of White Oak Creative, who I met at #TBSCon. I highly recommend for any WordPress needs!
Major thanks to my girl Em who always takes my vision and runs with it and never, ever thinks I’m ridiculous. Thanks to the gals at the Mims House for letting me use their gorgeous space. And to Michelle for making me feel so fancy for a day.
