The weather has been a beautiful taste of summer recently, and I find myself reaching for infused waters. David and I both gave up drinking juices and sodas and our answer has been infused water. David’s favorite combination is a traditional lemon and lime pairing and while mine is lavender and lemon. I like to switch up my flavors and I try to incorporate lemon into most of my waters. Squeezing lemon juice directly into the water helps not only with the flavor, also with detoxing.
David and I each have a big pitcher of infused waters we keep filled up. This is also great to have on hand for guests since we do not keep soda stocked in our house. I generally like to let my infused water sit for about 3-4 hours to achieve the best flavor. Â If you make a big pitcher like us, do keep in mind that adding water will dilute the flavors. While we try to not let our water sit for more than a couple of days, keeping it in the refrigerator helps keep the fruit fresh. Here are 7 of our favorite infused water recipe combinations to help stay hydrated this summer!
