DG and I are starting to talk about where we’d like to go this summer. Â It’s been a couple of years since we had a summer where we were able to take a big trip, and we’re hoping that this year is the year for us. Â Here are a few places I wouldn’t mind exploring.
Austin, TX
And let’s be real, a stop in Waco would be necessary.
Denver, CO
Key Largo, FL
Nashville, TN
New Orleans, LA
San Francisco, CA
Seattle, WA
St. Louis, MO
Have you been to any (or all) of these places? Â If so, what was your favorite and why?
P.S. Check out my travel list from last year here.

I’ve been to a few of these cities and by far my favorite is Seattle! I’m working on planning an anniversary trip this summer and I keep coming back to Seattle for our destination… there or San Francisco/Napa Valley. Decisions, decisions!
I’ve been to St. Louis a couple times – I think it’s good for a long weekend! The zoo and exploring the downtown area is fun. San Francisco is one of the cities we hope to visit most in the next year or so! We also are considering a road trip down to Waco this summer/early fall.
we’re sticking to us travel for our big trip this year, and i’m excited to explore utah’s national parks and some places in arizona. i’m ready to be awed and inspired by our natural landscapes. enjoy your travels!

I have only been to a few of these places, but they are all definitely worth a visit! San Francisco definitely is my number one but requires the most time. I hope you guys make it to them all! XO
I lived in Nashville for a year and there was so much to do. It has such a good electric mix of local honky tonk but also upscale boutiques. The local food scene is amazing and I also seriously loved taking the tour of the country music stars houses like a true tourist!
I am dying to go Nashville. It’s been at the top of my list for a few years! I haven’t been to Austin, but I’ve been to Dallas and I freaking love it there. I almost moved there after I graduated. Definitely one of my favorite cities. My cousin lives in Denver and his snaps are always stunning and make me so jealous. He and his wife have lived there for several years and they love it. Seattle is on my list too!
I’ve been to all, they’re all great and offer something unique and different. I’m partial to Seattle, but I side trip down to my hometown of Portland would be a must 🙂 they’re both fun, quirky, unique and amazing towns!!
Meghan, I’ve been to those places multiple times, except for Key Largo! All are worth a visit, but I’d rank San Francisco and Seattle at the top and St Louis at the bottom. Also worth consideration is Jackson Hole, WY, and the Grand Tetons. –LMLand
