This post has been in my drafts for a while because I could not quite figure out how I wanted to share our first year updates. We moved in to this house on June 30, 2017, and it instantly brought my stress and anxiety levels down. I love our home, our neighborhood, my drive to and from work, and I honestly couldn’t say that about our first home. While we did sustain pretty substantial damage from a hail storm last year that required a new roof, new siding, and new windows in addition to a few other things, we have been working on updating the inside to make this ranch ours.
Today, I decided to share the house that we saw on Realtor, and link to the changes we’ve made. A little known fact about this, but I was in Tampa last year when David went to see this house. Prior to me leaving, we had drafted an offer to another house, and neither of us could sign the paperwork. I just had this feeling that the right house for us would come, and it did… while I was gone for 10 days. I trusted David and our realtor, and I was thrilled with what David picked for us. The one thing we both agreed on was a ranch style home, and this was really the best of both worlds for us with our list of wants for a home.
It couldn’t have worked out more beautifully. David is about to start a new professional chapter closer to home now, and I love coming home in the evenings. In fact, living here has made me more of a homebody. We’ll do a holiday home tour (similar to this from last year) with updated photos, but check out the links below to see progress we’ve made in our home from how we purchased.
