Happy Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here this week and we don’t have a lot of plans other than finishing up our front porch for the season and cleaning up around the house. Thanks for joining me for this month’s coffee talk!
P.S. Check out my favorite coffee shops in Raleigh here.
My favorite president died 100 years ago. Here is a great article about the silence that often surrounds him.
This is a wonderful piece. Historians “don’t preserve memory. In fact, they’re the opposite. They work to challenge memory….they act as a bulwark against weaponized nostalgia, against the re-presentation of the past to suit modern political agendas.”
I’ve been seeing Katy for almost three years now and I always trust her professional opinion on my hair style and color. Yesterday, she gave me a fresher, lighter look and while it may not look drastic, it was a pretty big change for me.
For the first couple of months, I wrote in my coffee talks about how I was itching to travel, but wasn’t quite sure where we were going to go this year. That changed rather quickly and in the next couple of months I’ll be in Chicago, St. Augustine, Louisville, and hopefully Montreal. If you have any recommendations for those places, feel free to email me!
I don’t usually wear heels in general, but these shoes have been a really great addition to my closet for work. I have them in both gold and calf-hair.
While I’m not one for breakfast, I did share two easy breakfast recipes that I have been incorporating into my weekly routine. It has made me much more productive in the mornings.
How cute is this pool for spring and summer?
After my recent eye fiasco (I was misdiagnosed by two different urgent/emergency doctors) that ended up being an ulcer on my cornea, I opted to start using clean beauty products around my eyes. Here are my current favorites: The Balm Mascara, the Balm Liquid Liner, Mia Adora Makeup Eyeliner
I have been loving these two fragrances for our home for spring: Bath & Body Works White Gardenia & Bath & Body Works Rose Water & Ivy
One of my favorite things about almost being done with grad school is that I will be able to start reading for fun again. I have quite a long list of books waiting for me, but I also preordered this to read over the summer.
