It’s no secret that my skill set isn’t super domestic and I am lucky to be married to a man who is very good at grocery shopping and cooking. However, I am trying to be better about the types of foods I eat and on eating out less. Recently, David went out of town for a week, so I decided to give Tastefully Served a try for my weekly meal prep. I found it easy to use, pick up was a breeze, and the food was delicious.
Weeknight Meal Ideas with Tastefully Served
Raleigh-based Tastefully Served has a delicious, seasonal menu. Prepared by a professional chef, you have the option of picking up your meals or having them delivered right to your door. Tastefully Served is a great option for David and me because it does not require a weekly subscription or a minimum order. Each container arrives with instructions and caloric count. You can use the containers in an oven or microwave, and they are ready in 30-40 minutes. There is no prep, no cooking and no mess. Which is my ideal way of making supper.
Chef Meredith is the mastermind behind this concept. She has more than 14 years of cooking experience and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. Prior to that, she went to UNC-Chapel Hill. Plus, she has experience in other states working under Award-winning chefs. Basically, Chef Meredith knows what she’s doing!
Each week, if you order by Thursday, your meals will be ready on Tuesday for either delivery or pick up. The menu has a wide variety of options, including lunch and snack options. There is even a category on the website for a fit and flavorful option. Along with gluten free options too! What we Got
For our menu selection, I selected Almond Joy Energy Bites, Vanilla Pecan Granola, Lasagne Bolognese, Southwestern Chicken Salad, Chicken Parmesan over Pasta with House-Made Tomato Basil Sauce (single serving), and Chicken Tinga with Elote Corn and Cumin Black Beans. One of my favorite aspects of ordering these meals is I can choose a single or double serving to best fit our needs. The night we had the lasagne bolognese and Chicken Parmesan, David and I each split half with each other so we got a little bit of each. And I had to slap those almond joy energy bites out of my own hand because I would have eaten the whole container in one sitting.
