One of my favorite things about the holiday season is the way cities transform this time of year. Downtown streets glow with twinkle lights, rooftops shine against the night sky, and the whole region feels like one big winter wonderland. Over the past few years, the Triangle has fully embraced the trend of holiday pop-up bars—and I am absolutely here for it.
Below, you will find my updated list of the best holiday bars in the Triangle for 2025, featuring festive cocktails, immersive décor, and plenty of seasonal cheer.

The Best Holiday Bars in the Triangle (2025 Guide)
Angus Barn – Raleigh

If you want the most iconic, over-the-top holiday experience in the Triangle, Angus Barn is it. Every inch of the property is decked out, and their Wild Turkey Lounge remains one of the most popular spots in Raleigh during December. Due to demand, reservations are now required for both the main dining room and the Wild Turkey Lounge—so try to book early in the fall.

Conniption Bar and Lounge’s Holiday Pop-Up | Durham

Conniption Cocktail Bar and Lounge’s annual holiday pop-up brings seasonal cocktails, cozy vibes, and playful twists on classic drinks. The s’more martini remains a favorite, and the Poinsettia 75—a festive spin on a French 75—is a must try.

Miracle at the Haymaker | Raleigh

Each year The Haymaker transforms into Miracle at the Haymaker, a full-blown holiday spectacle with over-the-top décor, festive glassware, and a holiday menu that’s always a crowd-pleaser. My go-to? The Elfing Around—a delicious blend of gin, prosecco, mulled wine reduction, grapefruit shrub, and bitters.
Get there early—this is one of downtown Raleigh’s most popular holiday spots.
Address: 555 Fayetteville St #115, Raleigh, NC 27601
Holiday at Hummingbird – Raleigh

Hummingbird is one of the Triangle’s most unique restaurants—and their holiday décor only makes it more magical. The New Orleans-inspired menu is already fantastic, and the seasonal cocktails and cozy holiday atmosphere (fur seats, heaters, and Christmas trees included) make this one a must-visit.
Address: 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd STE 111, Raleigh, NC 27604
The Landmark Tavern – Raleigh

A Raleigh classic, The Landmark Tavern leans into traditional holiday décor in the best way. If you love a festive dive bar, this is your place. Come for an ice-cold beer, stay for the nostalgic holiday atmosphere.

The Patio and the Studio at the Unscripted | Durham

Unscripted Durham is charming any time of year, but December is especially fun. Their rooftop patio igloos are Instagram-famous, and The Studio—located on the ground floor—gets a full seasonal makeover. On Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy Studio Nights, featuring local DJs and festive cocktails.

RBF Champagne Bar – Cary

RBF has fully embraced the festivities with themed décor and a lineup of seasonal events. Check their Instagram for the latest offerings, including festive champagne flights, holiday movie nights, candle making classes, and just generally the perfect spot for a celebratory night out with friends.

Stella’s on West | Raleigh

Stella’s on West brings “trailer-park chic” energy to the holidays—in the very best way. Expect cozy décor, festive touches, and a small yet fun holiday cocktail menu. It is a great spot to grab a drink before heading to dinner on N. West Street.
Address: 911 N West St Suite 103, Raleigh, NC 27603
Wolfe and Porter Holiday Pop Up – Raleigh

Step into Wolfe & Porter this holiday season for a festive experience that is equal parts merry and delightfully rowdy. All December, the upstairs bar transforms into a holiday pop-up decked out with over-the-top decorations—perfect for holiday photos.
Sip peppermint mocha cocktails, pomegranate spritzes, and other merry creations from a special holiday menu while soaking in the chaotic cheer. Alongside the regular lineup, enjoy Christmas karaoke, a gingerbread house showdown, and a Santa sack full of holly-jolly surprises—all while supporting local charities.
It is the most wonderfully tacky time of the year, only at Wolfe & Porter.
Location: 905 W. Morgan St., Raleigh
Sippin’ Santa at Wye Hill – Raleigh

Wye Hill remains one of my favorite places for date nights, girls’ nights, and happy hours. Their unbeatable skyline views get even better during the holidays, thanks to chic exterior décor and plenty of heaters. This year, Sippin’ Santa has taken over, meaning you will find tropical-inspired holiday cocktails—alongside their regular menu.
Order a hot toddy and soak in the views. It is perfection.
