Each year, David and I look forward to decorating our home’s interiors and exterior for the holidays. See our holiday home tours from years past here. Honestly, nothing is more peaceful than having a quiet cup of coffee in front of the tree before starting my day and ending it with a cup of tea, a fire, and the twinkle lights. One of my favorite things to do is add unique ornaments to our tree each year. We typically add ornaments from places that we have visited through the year to our tree. We have also accrued quite a collection of unique Christmas ornaments.

Unique Christmas Ornaments to Add to Your Collection
Matchbook Ornaments

I have been a big fan of Furbish Studio‘s matchbook art prints for quite a while now and have several displayed in our Peloton room. That said, I was ecstatic to see these matchbook ornaments with so many different locations available. There are also some really cute options that are seasonal as well, like the North Pole, Whoville, and this Merry & Bright one.
Needlepoint Ornaments

Furbish Studio also has a fun needlepoint pillow collection and I love the needlepoint ornament collection! These make great gifts, especially for an ornament exchange. I got this one for our Christmas tree this year.
Icons Ornaments

One of my favorite additions to our tree each year are icons. Our collection includes RBG, Bobb Ross, Kevin McAllister, Frida Kahlo, Dolly Parton, Rosie the Riveter, just to name a few. Furbish Studio and local Raleigh boutique, Edge of Urge, have great selections.
Food & Booze Ornaments

We have also grown our food and beverage collection over the years! Furbish Studio and local Raleigh boutique, Edge of Urge, have great selections for this category, too. This year, I am eyeing this espresso martini ornament and this oyster with the pearl.
Press for Champagne Ornament

As a champagne lover, I knew I had to have this ornament for my collection. This would make such a fun ornament for a girlfriend ornament exchange. Another ornament I’m eyeing for my collection this year is this one of the champagne bottles in the disco ball ice bucket.
Votes for Women Ornament

I picked up this ornament back in 2020 and I keep her out year round. Another fun suffragette ornament is this one.
City Ornaments

David and I pick up an ornament from the various places we visit throughout the year to add to our tree. I love these city ornaments, like the one pictured above for New York. We have several of these from various cities, like this one from Chicago and this one for Charleston’s Rainbow Row.
Hobby Ornaments

For all your friends who love reading, this is a cute ornament to gift them for their tree! For your photographer friends, this one is a cute addition for them.

My biggest tip is to snag ornaments right before the holiday or right after because you will get some great deals and is a great way to affordably build your collection. For any specific ornament that you may be looking to add or gift, a quick google search will give you a wide variety of options. I consider our Christmas tree like a charm bracelet and want it to be a reflection of the way our relationship and lives have evolved over the years. I hope you find some ornaments to add to your tree and to gift to your friends this holiday season!
