So, I’ve shared my 5 minute makeup routine before with a confession that I’d rather sleep than wake up and spend time getting ready. I published this post in 2015 and to be honest, not a lot has changed in terms of how infrequently I actually wear a full face of make up and really, how much I even know how to do my own make up. I have perfected my 5 minute make up routine so I can feel somewhat put together without having to spend time doing my make up. If you didn’t know, I hit the snooze at least twice before getting up. And have a bad habit of sleeping through alarms. Here is my tried and true product round up that has me feeling my best every morning while still letting me snooze.
5 Minute Makeup Routine: 5 Essentials you Need Every Morning
Once I get up and start getting ready, I wash my face with my favorite face wash, prep my face with an eye cream that helps hide my under eye bags, a Vitamin C serum, and a quick spray of rose water. Then, I prime my face with this under eye primer (I’ll never not use this ever again) and a face primer, and then I’m ready for my makeup routine.
Clove + Hallow Conceal + Correct: I got this Clove & Hallow Concealer from AILLEA (c/0) in Raleigh. I have been a big fan of Clove & Hallow lip sticks for a while, so it’s no surprise I love their concealer, too. I use it under my eyes and anywhere that I need a little bit more coverage. I tend to be a bit splotchy. So if I’m having one of those days, I will use it on my cheeks, nose, and chin to help. I wear No. 3 and blend using this sponge.
Clove & Hallow Liquid Skin Tint: Here’s another great product I picked up from AILLEA (c/0). I have never really loved wearing foundation. I feel like it’s always a bit too thick and makes my skin look dull. This skin tint is everything I need to brighten up my complexion while still giving my skin room to breath. It also gives great coverage when combined with the Conceal + Correct. I wear No. 5 and blend using this sponge.
BECCA Soft Light Blurring Powder: After I apply the skin tint, I brush on this powder. I found it from Lindsey Reagan Thorne and honestly, it might be my favorite product ever. It leaves my skin smooth and looking a bit airbrushed. I use it both when I’m doing a quick make up application and when I’m applying a full face. I wear Golden Hour and use this brush to apply.
Too Faced Sweetie Pie Bronzer: I add a bit of this bronzer to my cheeks to finish brightening up my complexion. It doesn’t take much, but I love this product so much. It’s infused with peach and sweet fig cream and leaves a matte finish. The color and coverage is great without being too much. I use this brush to apply.
The Balm Mad Lash Mascara: I have developed a real sensitivity to eye make up over the past couple of years, but one of my favorite mascaras is this one from the Balm. It has a great brush for volume and length. Plus it’s a good dark black, doesn’t flake, and stays put even without a mascara primer. I did just get eye lash extensions, so that will take the place of my mascara routine. If I do use a primer, then I use this one.
A bonus addition is my brow gel. Depending on how my skin is doing that day, I might need to add a bit of my brow tint and pomade. This is my favorite set.
Later, I’ll apply this lip balm after I finish my coffee and then this Clove + Hallow lip color (Desert Rose) when I get to the office.

Thank you to AILLEA for providing me Clove + Hallow cosmetics to use. As always, all opinions are my own.
Such an easy and effortless routine! I do usually do a Full face on most weekdays, but sometimes I am pressed for time and just do my brows, concealer and mascara!
