Located in historic Valle Crucis and just about 20 minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock, this inn feels both convenient and wonderfully removed. I was perfectly content spending most of our time on property: curling up by the fire with a glass of wine, wandering the grounds, and soaking in a clawfoot tub. It is the kind of place that makes you forget about your to-do list entirely.
