Y’all, this month is flying by, just like this year is flying by. I feel like I haven’t had a chance to sit down and catch my breath yet and it’s almost November. Anyone else feeling like this? What strategies do you have for taking time for self-care? I definitely need those! Today, I’m excited to share my October edition of coffee talk with you! This is my chance to let y’all know what’s going on and just other thoughts that I have for the month. Don’t forget to tell me what’s on you mind in the comments, too!
My favorite local hotel, Fearrington House Inn, recently named one of the top hotels in the South by Conde Nast Traveler. I just posted about Fearrington House Inn here and if you haven’t had a chance to visit recently, now is the perfect time!
I am in complete disbelief that I have less than a month left in my two graduate school classes! I cannot believe how fast this program has been moving. After November 13, the 2nd of my 3 components for my portfolio will be completed as well.
Anyone in a style rut? I am not feeling any of the clothes I’m seeing these days. I feel like I’m wearing the same outfits over and over again. Where do you go to get inspired for fashion?
We are hopefully close to starting the first round of repairs on our home before the end of the month. I don’t think y’all know how much of a stress relief that will be fore me!
I’m on the hunt for light fixtures right now for both indoors and outdoors. I have this problem when I get a vision in my head and then can’t find what I’m looking for when the time comes. Anyone else have this issue?
Can you believe that Christmas decorations are already out in stores? I’m not going to lie, I’m still feeling my fall decorations that I put out.
DG and I decided where we’re going for our Christmas present. I’ve mentioned it before, but we don’t exchange Christmas gifts, just stocking stuffers, and we go somewhere new. This year, we’re heading to New Orleans! Any recommendations?
I have not been feeling cooking recently. My recipes feel boring and overused. I’d love your recommendations on healthy-ish entrees that don’t take a lot of prep time!
I’m also searching for design inspiration for our home office. I am really loving the desk I bought from Wayfair, but I am struggling with how to style the areas around it. I’m hoping that DG will find some time over our holiday breaks to build me a built in for added storage since there really isn’t much.
Are you interested in a home tour of our new house? I am thinking once we have the repairs done, and the house is decorated for the holidays, I’d like to do a home tour. Let me know what you think!
Alright, that’s it for this month. I hope you’re having a great weekend!
xx
Ohhh New Orleans will be so much fun!!
