This post has been in my drafts for a while because I could not quite figure out how I wanted to share our first year updates. Â We moved in to this house on June 30, 2017, and it instantly brought my stress and anxiety levels down. Â I love our home, our neighborhood, my drive to and from work, and I honestly couldn’t say that about our first home. Â While we did sustain pretty substantial damage from a hail storm last year that required a new roof, new siding, and new windows in addition to a few other things, we have been working on updating the inside to make this ranch ours.
Today, I decided to share the house that we saw on Realtor, and link to the changes we’ve made. Â A little known fact about this, but I was in Tampa last year when David went to see this house. Â Prior to me leaving, we had drafted an offer to another house, and neither of us could sign the paperwork. Â I just had this feeling that the right house for us would come, and it did… while I was gone for 10 days. Â I trusted David and our realtor, and I was thrilled with what David picked for us. Â The one thing we both agreed on was a ranch style home, and this was really the best of both worlds for us with our list of wants for a home.
It couldn’t have worked out more beautifully. Â David is about to start a new professional chapter closer to home now, and I love coming home in the evenings. Â In fact, living here has made me more of a homebody. Â We’ll do a holiday home tour (similar to this from last year) with updated photos, but check out the links below to see progress we’ve made in our home from how we purchased.
