Good morning & happy Friday, my friends! I did not mean to take a week off from blogging, but the week really caught up to me with work, grad school, and moving. DG & I both appreciate the well wishes for our move. It went as smoothly as we could hope and we have been loving our new house. Here are a few snaps of things we’ve been up to over the past week.
Last week, we closed on both our old house and our new house.
We introduced the boys to the house after a day full of doggie day camp, and the fact that they were able to relax helped me relax.
DG & I had a belated anniversary & new house celebratory dinner at Poole’s Diner. I was all sorts of nostaglic for the time we celebrated the purchase of our first home here 5 years ago. File this under: Poole’s is the one constant in our lives.
I got to see my girl, Jo,and check out her new summer hand bags! How cool is this clutch? I LOVE the history of her fabrics and her attention to detail. Dress c/o Paisley Boutique
We celebrated the 4th of July with our buddies KP & MP in Durham. You also may have seen my oversharing of fireworks on Instastories. Earrings & dress
DG & I tried out J. Alexander’s in Crabtree and we were blown away with the food. The servers had great recommendations and DG was obsessed with the ice cream cake, which is seasonal for summer. Definitely be sure to check it out!
Yesterday, I met April of Be Pure Beauty and I am completely obsessed with her gorgeous space, mission, and talent. Be sure to stay tuned for more information on her shop. And then Glory & I had a BLT and Cheerwine at Merritt’s Store & Grill, and it was worth the wait!
How has your week been? I hope you enjoyed the short week and have a great weekend!
P.S. I didn’t post this week, but check out my collaboration with Durham CVB here.
xx!
