Yesterday was 4 years since I met DG and I have found that words don’t do it justice for how awesome he is. Jenn and I were talking about our husbands earlier this week and while I certainly don’t want to make everything appear like it is perfect between us all the time, I also recognize that I am incredibly blessed with him.
So tonight, we’re going out to dinner at Tupelo Honey to celebrate. Are we the only people who still celebrate two anniversaries?

Nope! In fact J and I celebrate our dating anniversary bigger than our wedding anniversary! It's just "our day" for some reason. It has been for 12 years so I guess it makes sense, but it's still fun to celebrate both! They're in opposite seasons, too, so it makes it fun to have something to look forward to (May- wedding, August- dating). That stupid nail polish spilling everywhere must have been a nightmare!! I can't even imagine! J built me a vanity mainly for this reason–I have somewhere to mess around with my polish without worrying about it spilling everywhere—I used to do them on a TV tray in the living room. Plus, he kind of hates the smell so it's a win win haha

I just laughed out loud with the nail polish spill because that same thing happened recently with a glitter polish and I had to explain to the groomer that I was NOT trying to paint her nails.. I just have a 1 year old who loves to throw my polish bottles on the floor, and a dog who then likes to parade around in it – haha!
