I’ve mentioned on here before, I’m not a huge dessert fan, but there is something about a chocolate peanut butter scoop in a waffle cone that just screams summer. David definitely has the sweet tooth in the relationship, so here are some of the best places to grab ice cream in downtown Raleigh.
Local Favorites: Top 5 Best Ice Cream Places in Downtown Raleigh NC
Captain Cookie and the Milkman:
Located in Transfer Co. Food Hall, there are few things better than one of their ice cream sandwiches. And their chocolate peanut butter ice cream is absolutely delicious.
Goodberry’s:
Okay, so it’s not ice cream, but it’s the best frozen custard around. When peanut butter is their flavor of the day, you can bet I’ll be there. Check out the time that Glory & I took Courtney to try it out here. There are a few around the Triangle, but there is one conveniently located in Cameron Village.
Raleigh Rolls:
Raleigh Rolls is such a unique concept and have some of the best flavor combinations. It’s located in Morgan Street Food Hall and you have the option of getting a pre-selected flavor combo or building your own. Or try one of their seasonal selections.
Treat:
Treat serves Maple View Farm Ice Cream from Hillsborough, NC right in Raleigh’s City Market. It’s a great spot for a traditional ice cream cone, or you can get one of their creations. They even have a creation for your pups, too!
Two Roosters:
The newest location is in Person St. Plaza right by Edge of Urge and Yellow Dog Bread. Get the Blackberry Hibiscus or the Roasted Strawberry and Honey, or try their temporary flavors. One of my favorite aspects of Two Roosters, besides their service, ice cream, and story, is the fact that they work with local schools and have elementary students create flavors that they then sell in the store.
These seriously look amazing!
