Growing up in the South, I always thought I was more of a warm-weather girlie. However, after being married to a man from Buffalo for the past 10+ years, I am much more into cooler weather dressing and accessorizing. I think switching up looks and accessories with the season is a fun way to shop your closet and change up the look while still looking put together. The right accessories can make you feel warm and comfortable while also feeling chic and stylish. So, today, I am sharing a roundup of must-have winter accessories for you to add to your closet.
If you are looking for short-term cold weather options, I cannot recommend using nuuly for rentals. And check out these winter outfits to consider if you are traveling to NYC during the cold months.

10+ Must-Have Winter Accessories
Knit Beanie with a Pom

I love a knit beanie with a little pom to keep warm with a cute little flair. While I have a couple in neutral colors, including a gray one and a light one with a faux fur pom, this Fair Isle one in neutral colors is a cute option, too. The key is to getting one with a fleece lining for a little extra warmth.
Ear Muffs

Personally, ear muffs do not stay on my head. That said, I think they are so cute on my friends and these faux fur ones are adorable! These are a cute option, too.
Blanket Scarf

I love a good blanket scarf! They are so versatile! They are nice and cozy if worn as a regular scarf, though I alos like to keep mine with me for travel or in the office as a blanket. This color is a fabulous option to wear with a variety of colors as well. This type of scarf is so helpful in staying warm in so many situations.
Cashmere Wrap

Cashmere Gloves

Honestly, I despise wearing gloves so I have been on the hunt for gloves that I can wear without being annoyed. I love a cashmere lined glove. These leather ones are great because they are good for touchscreens. I also like these for a more affordable option.
Plush Roll-Top Socks

Listen. Socks may feel like a weird item to be a fan of, but in my old age, I am into plush socks. These socks are blended with cashmere, and they are so cozy for wearing on extremely cold days. This set of socks is also one of my favorites for wearing in the winter.
Thermal Leggings

One of the important things that I have learned are a necessity for winter weather are thermal lined leggings to wear under denim, pants, long skirts, or dresses, especially when paired with knee high boots. This pair is a great, affordable option that is also good quality. I also love this pair. Consider how to pair these with how to wear a sweater dress.
Wool Socks

I cannot express to you enough how much SmartWool socks have changed my winter dressing game. I wore these to a Buffalo Bills game in Buffalo in December in 7 degree weather and did not need another pair of socks with them. They are incredible and worth the price!
Huggie Hoop Earrings

Earrings are my accessory of choice, though they can be difficult to wear with layers in terms of the backs coming loose. So, I enjoy a pair of huggies and this one is a fantastic set!
Cozy Slipper Booties

I love a pair of bootie slippers for my work-from-home days, especially if they have a hard bottom. If you prefer a soft bottom, check these out with the non-slip bottoms.
Chelsea Boots

These are a great, stylish waterproof option that pairs great with wool socks.
