One of my favorite ways to spend a day is with a good book. In 2024, I read 52 books, including 26 that were 4.5 stars or higher. In the past, I have tracked all my books on my Instagram and in a monthly here on I’m Fixin’ To. That said, for 2025, my monthly book recaps will be moving to my Substack. I will still have book articles here, too, so stay tuned for those each month. Today, I am sharing the 26 best books I read in 2024 that were ranked 4.5 stars or higher by me. A note about my rankings: I will not rank a book below 3 stars because books are based on personal preference. Writers pour so much of themselves into publishing, so I will not tear a book or author down. That is a personal decision I make and something I like to be upfront about when considering my rankings & reviews.

I am breaking this up into 4.5 stars, 4.75 stars, and 5 stars.
