This look is perhaps one of my favorites ever.  One of my biggest passions in life is teaching others about citizenship.  I feel really strongly about voting and doing proper research about candidates prior to voting.  Some of my favorite teacher stories are ones after my students graduated who emailed to tell me that they volunteered in voter registration drives on campus or how they felt voting in their first Presidential election.  When I saw this tote on Reese Witherspoon’s Instagram, I knew I had to have it.  They used the top picture on the article in Walter Magazine, and I received an email from a former student who said “I’ve never seen a more truer picture of you than this.”  I’d be lying to you if I told you I didn’t feel act this way every time I vote (legit, David asks me to keep it together every time we head to the polls):

And bonus, Em took these photos at Andrew Johnson’s birthplace at Mordecai Historic Park in Raleigh. Â I’ve really enjoyed listening to the Presidential podcasts and wanted to share this location for those history nerds lovers in the area. Â Be sure to take a tour! Â It’s totally worth your time, especially now that the weather is breaking.
