This weekend was packed full of fall fun and a little snippet of Christmas.
Friday night, I went to Pure Barre, so I got home a little later than normal. Â DG surprised me by cooking dinner (chicken nuggets, tater tots, and garlic bread) and he went to Aviator to get a growler of our favorite cold weather beer, Frost Nipper. Â It was awesome, but he took it even further by having a fire out back.
Saturday, I got a Shellac manicure with a Groupon I bought, a blow-out a Parlor, and then had a fun afternoon with a former student from when I student taught who took some outfit pictures for the blog. Â We met in Oakwood Cemetery and it was a gorgeous day!
If you live in Raleigh, you should spend the day exploring Oakwood.
DG and I went to a pumpkin carving party Saturday afternoon, and DG’s pumpkin got stolen. Â It was sort of hysterical, but he takes his pumpkin carving seriously. Â So, he’s going to do that this week.
We went to dinner at My Way Tavern after the party, and I got my favorite cobb salad.
We had a sweet little house guest too. Â This is Q; his mom and dad ran the Marine Corps Marathon Sunday morning in D.C., so we brought him over to spend the night. Â He’s a good dog and Winston had the best time playing.
Sunday, I went in to work because we’re getting ready for Christmas. Â DG and I adore decorating our house for Christmas, so I was PUMPED for a sneak peak. Â I’ve also worked up an idea for a giveaway for the holidays on here! Â Stay tuned… it’s coming soon!
When I got off work, DG and I took Winston to Bombshell Brewery for Howl-o-ween. Â We didn’t dress him up, but he had a good time showing off and meeting other pups. Â He crashed so hard on Sunday night.

I love Christmas decorations too. I bought a gingerbread house cookie jar yesterday! I already have it out on display. ha!!

My Way Tavern is so good, my fiance got this huge sandwich one time I don't remember the name but it was about as tall as half his face..he ate the whole thing.
That salad looks really good. Nights spent out by the fire is always a good idea!

I was in B&BW last week and they were already playing Christmas music… it's blowing my mind that the holidays are right around the corner! And that cobb salad looks like the best.thing.ever. Glad you had a good weekend 🙂

I'm so excited about Christmas decorations too! I'm waiting for Thanksgiving but I guarantee, Thanksgiving evening, Bing will be singing as I string twinkle lights across every surface!

Who steals a pumpkin?!?! Looks like a great weekend though- I love cobb salads and those pretty little ornaments get me excited for Christmas.. I can't believe it's almost November!
His pumpkin was stolen???? That is so sad!!! Getting in a PB class on a Friday after work seriously isn't it the best feeling? I love finishing off my week with a butt kicking class like that! I totally just bought a blow out from Groupon/LS can't wait to use it!

What a fun weekend!! I'm so antsy to decorate for xmas but then I remember that Campbell is a complete jerk with the xmas tree so I dont' want to deal with that any longer than I have to!
