I scheduled this post prior to East Carolina’s season opener this past weekend because I was missing the feeling Greenville gets when football season starts. When I was in high school, I wasn’t quite sure where I wanted to go to college, and kicked around
a couple of ten options. My dad went to East Carolina for both of his degrees, and I had been on campus for football games growing up, but there was something about a visit I made in the spring of 2005 that let me know it was the right fit for me.
My feelings were confirmed when I attended my first football game while in college. My friends and I all joined the Student Pirate Club and had the best time at the first game. And I’d be lying if I didn’t tear up a little when the intro video played in Dowdy-Ficklen that hot Saturday. Since then, East Carolina football has been an important part of my life every fall.
When I snagged this top from Monkee’s of Greenville, I knew I’d pair it with white jeans & my gold Anchor Beads necklace (seen here). And these booties are still one of my favorite pairs of shoes. They’re so comfortable and perfect for transitioning in the South with our chilly mornings & warm afternoons. And despite Labor Day weekend coming & going, I’m still rocking my white jeans over here.

Happy Football Season, y’all!

Such a great and put together game day outfit! We have a Gator bar here in Boston and it’s always a fine line of looking put together and comfortable! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
The perfect outfit!! Going to the ECU/NCSU game this weekend and I’m pretty sure my husband will have a stroke if I wear purple. So might have to go neutral on this one haha. Btw we are having an Anchor Beads trunk show on October 20th, I wish I could invite all my blog ladies! Xo
Those shoes are to-die-for! I get so jealous around this time of year because my school didn’t have a big football following, so no Game Day outfits :(. This one is way too cute though! Maybe I’ll pretend to be a pirate sometime?!
