I mentioned last week that David and I looked forward to decorating this year more than ever because this year has just been… a lot. We feel lucky that we have not be affected by COVID-19, yet we grieve for those who have lost their lives and their loved ones. We have been soaking in the light of the season and remembering those, so this holiday home tour is really special for us this year.

2020 Holiday Home Tour – Exterior

Our first year in the house, we bought this beautiful lit garland. We’ve gradually added the velvet red bows, and then last year David created the cutouts of Winston & Gizmo to be Santa’s helpers. The Santa was a find from my grandparents home, so we both look forward to putting that out. This year, David made the Peanuts cut outs for the flower bed and the countdown to Christmas.
Perhaps my favorite nook is the area where the swing is on our front porch. I picked up the seasonal pillows from the Target Dollar Spot a couple of years ago and I picked up this tassel blanket back in the fall.

Foyer
Our foyer decorations have remained rather consistent since we moved in three years ago. I picked up this bench from the Cary Cottage and love decorating it for the seasons. I’m also a big fan of these trees from Target–they usually go on sale for about $15 during the season. Most of the decorations here are from years past and antique finds.
Hallway
David and I recently updated this space with Rifle Paper Co wall paper. The table and mirror are antique finds while the candle sticks are old from Target. I got the truck and little trees from the Target Dollar Spot a couple of years ago. I often switch the books out from my coffee table book collection.
Home Office

Our home office went through the biggest transformation in our home, and honestly, who knew we were going to need that during COVID-19? Anyway, this year, I added another one of the $15 trees to hang some of my favorite ornaments. We also decorated our built-ins with heirlooms from my grandparents and Target Dollar Spot finds.
Guest Bedroom

I adore this guest room so much, particularly because I love the bed frame and the trunk that came from my grandparents’ farm. David built the night stands years ago and we recently updated the lamps when we started updating our living room. I love these winter prints and keep them up through February.
Living Room
Even though we are still missing the other half of our sectional for the living room, we really love this space. We recently added a Samsung Frame TV above our mantle and I have loved selecting images to match our decor and mood.
Dining Room

I love our dining room so much, particularly because of this reclaimed wood wall. Our Christmas China is from my grandparents and so are these adorable Santa plates. I added these fairy lights and my Mackenzie-Childs holiday compote.
Master Bedroom

I also really look forward to adding my plaid bedding in our master bedroom. I picked up this throw blanket earlier this year and have really enjoyed it on cooler evenings. While this pillow is old, I adored this joyful pillow and bought it for when we have our sectional. Also, this gold mirror from Anthropologie is one that I get several questions about and it it such a showpiece.
