Cantina 18 in Cameron Village has been a long time favorite restaurant of mine for a girls’ day out. I love that the ingredients are locally sourced, including my personal favorite, Cheshire Pork seen here. Cantina 18 is a Southern-Tex Mex twist and makes the best skinny margaritas ever.
My favorite dishes are the shrimp tacos, the chicken tinga quesadilla, and the romaine salad with salmon. We also like to order queso for the table, because duh. But one of my favorite touches at Cantina 18 is the pineapple salsa mixed in with the queso.
Y’all know I love a good mural, and the restaurant has several murals with nods to where they source their food. Their outdoor seating is some of the best, including the first floor level, but also the second floor which has a patio that overlooks the shopping center. This area is perfect for baby showers, engagement parties, and other private events.
The day I met up with Angela for lunch, it was a beauty, sunny day in Raleigh. I wore this dress from The Impeccable Pig with my new favorite booties. I am a self-proclaimed bag lady, so I’m trying to work on consolidating my bags, and this bag from FiFi’s Fine Resale Apparel is the best for carrying items for work plus the normal items I carry in my purse.
The day that Angela & I had lunch at Cantina 18, we shared the salmon romaine salad, vegetarian tacos, chips and queso, and of course a skinny girl marg for me and a strawberry margarita mocktail for Angela.
If you’ve never tried Cantina 18, I definitely recommend you giving it a try for your next girls’ day out! And don’t forget to hit the shops in Cameron Village after. It’s the ultimate spot for you and your girls.
xx
