Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was awesome and I can’t wait to recap it with you!
On Thursday evening, I kicked off my weekend with my friend Lauren with dinner at La Rancharita. It’s one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. I sadly didn’t forgot to take some pictures while we were there because Lauren had just come from swimming and I had just come from a quick 3 mile run (which I PRed with a 7:52 minute mile pace).
Friday was an awesome day at work. I can’t really describe what was so great about it, but it was such a fun way to end the work week.
I went to my first wedding dress fitting and I was so excited with how my dress fit! With my fitting falling on the 4 month mark, I had a lot of emotions. I snapped this picture of the inside of the bridal shop because it is so stinking cute!
Saturday I spent the morning cleaning and organizing. Then, I ran in the St. Paddy’s 8K in downtown Raleigh. My buddy KP and I ran it together last year and decided to make it a tradition. This picture is pre-run. By the way, remember how my goal was to run this 8K in 43:00 minutes? I did it in 41:44! Boom!
The picture below is post run with free beer. Random story, I asked a guy with an East Carolina football hat on to take our picture. I said, “Did you go to ECU?” He said “yes, did you? Did you graduate?” KP and I both died laughing because it was such a sincere but awkward question.
I gave up cable last week and joined the 21st century by getting Netflix and a Roku. So, my days have been spent watching Orange is the New Black and having marathons of the Wonder Years. After my race, DG and I had dinner with KP and her husbs, and then we had a Wonder Years marathon.
Sunday morning, I woke up and had a little quiet time with a cup of coffee and lots of magazine reading.
It was 70 degrees and I was able to wash my car, clean up the flower beds outside, and I got some additional work done inside. I was so excited to get so much crossed off my list.
Today, it’s supposed to sleet and I’m not looking forward to these bizarre up and down temperatures.
How was your weekend?
Congrats on a great run time! Sounds like you had a pretty perfect weekend!! Hope you have a great Monday!
Hooray for dress fittings!!! The best!!! Xx.
That's so exciting that you got to get back in your dress. I can't wait to put mine on again next month 🙂
