Mum pals are a must when styling a fall front porch. For my containers, I like ornamental peppers, zinnias, and coleus. My favorite coleus is the variety fittingly named “Dracula,” with its deep color and texture. I always bring in a croton as well, because its colors pull together all the fall flower shades so nicely. I also love incorporating marigolds. There is No Such Thing as Too Many Pumpkins
I have always been a fan of white pumpkins, which break up the orange of the foliage and traditional pumpkins. I also enjoy stacking flat pumpkins. A few years ago I bought some faux pumpkins (similar here) for the corners and covered areas of the porch, and they have come in handy ever since.
Add Lanterns for Fall Porch Ambiance
I put battery-operated candles in lanterns and set them on a timer for a cozy glow. My candles come with a remote, so they all turn on at the same time. That is a small detail, but it makes a big difference, especially if you are particular like me.
