Good morning & happy Friday! Â I’ve been all thrown off on what day it is because of our trip to Nashville, my amazing pool day on Wednesday, and then kicking off a new school year in a different role yesterday. Â I’m excited for a new professional challenge, but I’m definitely missing the excitement of being in the building for the beginning of the school year.
We had the best time in Nashville and definitely can’t wait to get back. Â We bought great priced tickets through Southwest and it was such an easy flight. Â I’ll be sharing more on what to do, where to stay, and where to eat next week.
Once back to school time hits, I go stupid over fall fragrances. Â This one and this one are currently on their way to our house.
My third semester of grad school begins on Monday and I’m not going to lie, I have to start doing a better job of time management. Â I am looking forward to a pretty quiet weekend to get caught up and get my life scheduled appropriately.
Speaking of time management, here is the planner I got for the new school year.
DG built me a really great storage space in our mudroom for our monthly house project. Â I can’t wait to share with you the finished product.
I finished reading Into the Water from Paula Hawkins and it was a great read.
I finally finished my binge watching of Nashville. Â I need a new show to watch. Â Any recommendations?
I am in desperate need of a new laptop. Â I have always wanted a MacBook, but am open to additional suggestions.
Here are a few sneak peeks at the Nashville outfits I wore when I met with Tory! Â She is a North Carolina gal living in Nashville and she knew the best places to take photos. Â She was such a gem and I can’t wait to work with her again!
Outfit Details:
Vestique Dress (on sale) // Vestique OTS Shirt // J. Crew Jeans Shorts
Frye Boots // Bourbon & Boweties bangles 1 2 3 // Sheila Fajl Hoops
Apple Watch // Tory Burch Tote // Ray-Ban Aviators // OPI Polish // Rose Salve
I have been fairly silent on my blog about what happened in Charlottesville. Â It’s not because I’m not paying attention, but because I needed a minute to process these events. Â A few weeks ago, I shared an article about the Greensboro 4 and the battle for Civil Rights in North Carolina. Â At this point, the fact that we are still fighting white supremacist groups in 2017, is quite absurd and honestly, frightening. Â Equality doesn’t mean groups are taking things from another. Â No one is free when others are oppressed. Â I’ve never understood any other rationale other than this. Â Please do not be silent. Â It’s too important and we’ve been fighting this fight for too long. Â Love will always trump hate.
Did you see this week’s posts? Â Here’s a better snack option, transitional outfits from Aventura, and a recap of our happy hour at 41Hundred Lounge.
Hope y’all have a great weekend!
xx
