David and I rely on using a vision board for any home improvement project we start around our house. One of us usually finds the initial idea to begin building from and then continue building it. We’ve done this with our primary bedroom, home office, guest bathroom, and living room. We started brainstorming about updating my closet, and I look forward to updating my organization in the space. While I had intentionally thought we would work with a professional organizer, David and I thoroughly enjoy finding storage solutions together.
Here are my inspiration ideas for my primary bedroom closet organization project, keep scrolling to see them all for walk-in closet organization.
P.S. You can see the final project for my small walk-in closet here and our favorite closet organization items here.

Organizational Systems
Hanging Clothes & Drawers

The various sizes of the drawers really maximize the closet space. This is also a nice way to store shoes and accessories without cluttering countertops. I also like the mix of lucite and solid drawer storage for an organizational system.
I love these Drawer Organizers for my own clothing organization.

I love an elevated closet with a chandelier! The different lengths of the cabinet and vignettes make it feel like an interior designer got their hands on this. I also like the clothing rods mixed in with the drawers to maximize and help with seasonal clothing storage.
I have this chandelier in my primary bedroom closet. I use these hangers for my pants and these for my tops and dresses.
Shoes & Accessories Organization

I love this jewelry drawer organization instead of having to clutter my countertops with a jewelry box!
I added drawers to store my jewelry and use these organizer trays to keep items from getting tangled.

Just here for the shoe shelves! When I dreamt up my custom closet, I used this picture for the spaces for my shoes.
One of the biggest game changers in my closet organization are these shoe organizers!

I love the hat storage, the bag storage, and the working space in the closet for a little inspiration.
This bag organizer is one of my favorites in my closet!

Organizational Vignettes

This sweater storage is a goal! I like to color-coordinate my closet and group by like styles, so this is especially pretty to me. I also appreciate the small vignettes added to break up the space. It makes closet design even more fun.
If you are like me, I need help keeping my sweaters in place, so these shelf dividers are a big help.
Adding Wallpaper

My master closet is rather small, so this picture is aligned with the final outcome. I used this picture for inspiration because of the clothing rods and the mix of shelving. The design elements of the gold chandelier and wallpaper were also a source of inspiration for the final designs of my storage system. My hanging clothes have stayed much more organized since I adopted this system.
The wallpaper we used on the back wall is linked here and we painted the ceiling black. Below is a little sneak peek at the final output of my closet.

I have linked all of my favorite primary bedroom closet organization items that I found on Amazon here. You can find my whole Amazon Shop here.
