A couple of weeks ago, I attended The Blog Societies Conference in Charleston.  Charleston is one of my favorite places ever, but this was not a vacation.  It was strictly work, but in the best possible way!  There is nothing better than being around people who understand why you take 10 pictures of the same shot to pick the perfect one.  I learned so much and came out feeing so rejuvenated and ready to take on my rebrand.  So, here is my recap from the conference.  Be sure to stay tuned for part 2 where I share my takeaways!
First things first, I stayed in the beautiful Belmond Charleston Place with Kristina from Medicine & Manicures and Shelby from Pretty in the Pines. Â I loved rooming with these two ladies and being able to bounce photo ideas off of each other and just share about our blogging experience. Â The hotel is absolutely stunning and in the perfect location for all the things you’d want to do in Charleston. Â There is an adorable coffee shop right across the street, great restaurants (like Poogan’s Porch) within walking distance, the City Market is less than a block away, and they serve the best pimiento cheese ever to your room!
Our first event of the weekend was the Vera Bradley Welcome Party! Â Vera Bradley is going through a rebrand of their logo and their hashtag is #itsgoodtobeagirl. Â Girl bosses unite! Â The welcome party was located in the hotel and was the perfect way for us to meet and greet bloggers we already follow on social media or meet new bloggers!
Outfit here
We went out to dinner after the welcome party at the Husk Bar with Kate, Melinda, and Brittany and had the best time! Â When you go, get the fried chicken. Â You can thank me later.
Saturday, we woke up early for outfit pictures in the smoldering humidity before heading to the conference at the Riveria Theatre!
We had the best speakers for the right amount of time to hold our attention.  This was where I listened to Lindsay from White Oak Creative, and promptly reached out to her to transfer my site over to WordPress at the last minute before launching my new brand!
After the conference part, we took a break for lunch before transitioning to the Networking Suite. Â Y’all. Â This suite had over 20 brands for us to network with for 2 hours! Â It was ah-mazing. This was one major reason why I was glad I was able to drive. Â The entire back of my SUV was filled with amazing products that I can’t wait to share with you in the coming weeks. Â Be sure you’re following me on Instagram for sneak peeks there! Â
That evening, Kristina and I went to Rainbow Row for some outfit pictures (seen here on my blog) before meeting up with Hillary and Lacey for dinner at the Ordinary.  We shared lots of oyster dishes and rose.  I’ve always wanted to try the Ordinary, but DG doesn’t love oysters, so this was the perfect place to visit with girlfriends.  And, y’all.  Get the oyster slider.  Again, you can thank me later.
Saturday morning, Â we were up for a beautiful brunch hosted by Kendra Scott.
Our workshops were on the 2nd floor of the Belmond Charleston Place. Â I attended a session on RewardStyle, photography, and a session with The Blog Societies Founders: Cathy & Jessica.
And the afternoon finished with a lunch hosted by Cosmedix.
I can’t get over all the amazing things I learned and people I met while I was at the conference. Â I can’t wait for #TBSCon 2017! Â It was such a wonderful groIwing experience and I can’t wait to learn more.
