One of my favorite new restaurants in the area is Colletta in Cary’s Fenton development. It feels like you have been immediately transported to Italy, whether you sit on the patio or book a reservation in the dining room where they have live jazz music some evenings. Also, their menu is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. While I enjoy their pasta dishes, I recently went and tried their pizzas and have not been able to stop raving about their options since then. So, keep scrolling for our entire dining experience, including the 3 best pizzas to order!
The 3 Best Pizzas to Order at Colletta Cary
Starter
I have dined at Colletta a few times now and every time we order the burrata. Also, it is made with NC strawberries, radish, red pepper, arugula red wine vinaigrette, and aged balsamic then served over grilled bread. I mean, strawberries, radish, and burrata? So, come on! You know it will be good!
Pizzas

We ordered three pizzas to share at the recommendation of our server and each was delicious! Our first pizza was the Spicy Soppressta with San Marzano tomato DOP, mozzarella, basil, and local honey. Also, our next was the Regina Colletta with mozzarella, garlic, ricotta, arugula, parmesan, aged balsamic, and Prosciutto. And the top favorite at our table was the Pesto served with mozzarella, goat cheese, spring peas, and crispy prosciutto.
Desserts

For dessert, we split the chocolate gelato which is served with coffee chocolate sauce, chocolate-coated espresso bean, and the Spumoni Semifreddo Alaska. While I am not big on cherries, this dessert was delicious and quite the show!

Thanks to Colletta Cary for hosting us for dinner & for JNK Public Relations for organizing. Also, as always, all opinions are my own.
