If I’m going to be completely honest, I was skeptical at first about trying açaí bowls because I was concerned about the texture. While I am not a super picky eater, I am also not big on certain types of textures. But after trying my first one after barre on day, I was hooked. I went on a mission to find the best açaí bowls in Raleigh. I am so excited to share my favorite spots and bowls with you today!
Buoy Bowls Food Truck
Buoy Bowls sets up shop in Holly Springs on Sundays conveniently after my barre classes. I may or may not be obsessed with these and look forward to my alarm going off on Sunday mornings so I can snag one of these. Be prepared to wait for a little bit, but it is totally worth it. In additional to açaí bowls, they also serve up some great smoothies. Check out their schedule here and follow them on Instagram here.
Order: Surf’s Up Bowl (the peanut butter is clutch after a work out)
Clean Juice Bar
Okay, so Clean Juice is right outside of Raleigh in Morrisville and there is one in Durham. I stopped and grabbed a bowl before a meeting one day and it was absolutely delicious. The menu is really interesting with its selection of juices, shots, smoothies, and food, including avocado toast, I definitely can’t wait to go back and try other things on their menu but their açaí bowls are outstanding.
Order: The Beauty Bowl (made with activated charcoal!)
Kale Me Crazy
Kale Me Crazy has great selection of juices, poké bowls, and smoothies as well. But their açaí bowl is my favorite to pick up on my way to work on crazy days. You can order online in advance, so I time it to pick up as I’m heading past Waverly from barre.
Order: Deluxe Açaí Bowl
Happy + Hale
Happy + Hale has been a favorite of mine for their overall menu selection and its convenient location in downtown Raleigh. I really loved this açaí bowl with the shaved coconut on top. You can order most items online from Happy + Hale, but not the açaí bowl. There is only one on the menu and it is part of the all-day breakfast menu.
Order: Açaí Bowl
Have you tried açaí bowls anywhere? Where should I try next?

Ahh I love acai bowls (Hawaii resident here) and when we visited my brother in law in Raleigh, we went to Happy + Hale – it was SO DANG GOOD!
Happy + Hale is such a great spot in Raleigh! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! xx
