Last month, I joined David on a work trip he had in Asheville and made some plans to spend time exploring and crossing some things off my to-do list in Asheville and the surrounding area. That included a first-time visit to the Horse Shoe Farm in Hendersonville, NC to enjoy a spa treatment at The Stable Spa and lunch at the Silo Cookhouse. When I tell you this is a hidden gem in western North Carolina, I genuinely mean it! It is in such a fantastic location, with beautiful views, a cozy and vibey spa with incredible services, and a delicious on-site restaurant. Today, I am sharing more about my experience at The Stable Spa and my recommendations while visiting.

The Stable Spa at Horse Shoe Farm Review
When I drove up to the spa, I was met with peaceful scenery and was pleasantly surprised to enter the quiet lobby area of the spa. I was offered the opportunity to be smudged with sage before moving into the spa itself. And I was delighted and set an intention for my time. I then received a quick tour of the facility and was introduced to my provider, Melisa.
Location

The Stable Spa at Horse Shoe Farm is located in the original stable on the farm. And the stalls have been converted into treatment rooms. There is such great natural light throughout the space, the rooms are named after horses, and there are wonderful seating areas to continue relaxing, enjoy a cup of tea, and curl up in a cozy chair.
When arriving on the Farm, follow the signs and find the parking lot for the Spa with the best views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Farm is well-labeled and makes it easy to find your way around.
Amenities

I mentioned before about being greeted and offered a sage smudge which was such a unique way to be welcomed into the space. In addition to that, there is a sound bath and a grounding space in the center of the common area, plus each guest is offered a crystal before treatment starts to further set the intention for treatment.
After my treatment, I curled up in a chair to overlook the mountains with a cup of Asheville Tea Company tea and relax before carrying on with my day.
Treatments

I experienced the 60-minute Wellness Massage, which uses light to medium pressure and is customized to be the perfect combination of relaxation and targeted work to address any specific needs. Elements of warmth are brought into the treatment, including steamed towels and back warmers. I added on a face mask enhancement and cupping, and next time would also incorporate their scalp massage.
Another treatment on my list for when I return is doing one of their foot therapies, which includes a foot soak with a neck and shoulder massage, followed by a foot massage in one of the treatment stalls. One other treatment I have my eye on is the journey experiences! The Complete Bliss Journey sounds right up my alley for my return trip.
Dining

Following my treatment, I walked up to The Silo Cookhouse for brunch. I sat outside and had the whole patio to myself. The morning had started out cloudy and overcast, but opened up into a beautiful day! I ordered the Harissa Chicken Sandwich with a side of home fries. There are some important notes here. The sandwich was full of flavor and yet light! You know I have never met a fried potato I did not love. And these were some of the best I have ever had. I also visited on St. Patrick’s Day, so they had a great list of seasonal cocktails. And I tried the Black Velvet, a prosecco/Guinness concoction that was quite nice! I highly recommend making a reservation here and having brunch or dinner!
Is The Stable Spa Worth Visiting?

I cannot recommend a visit to The Stable Spa emphatically enough. It is truly a wonderful, calming, and rejuvenating experience in the most gorgeous setting. There is so much to do on the property. So consider getting a Farm Day Pass to use the full facilities after getting your treatment! I did not want to leave and was texting David the whole time about how we needed to plan a trip back to spend a day at the spa and then relax on the farm afterward. There are cabins and condos that you can stay in on the property as well! There is so much to do (or not do) on these 85 acres!
And here are more things to do in Hendersonville if you spend a weekend in town!
Thank you to The Horse Shoe Farm for hosting my experience at The Stable Spa and The Silo Cookhouse. As always, all opinions are my own.
