One of my favorite parts of building this community and its social media channels has been connecting with people who are either local to the Triangle, visiting and looking for recommendations, or moving to the area. I genuinely love sharing my go-to spots—whether it is where to grab lunch, local boutiques to visit, or the best picnic spots. I often get asked quite often about recommendations for medical professionals, hair stylists, and nail techs. So, in honor of Women’s History Month a few years ago, I wrote this roundup of the Triangle women who keep me going—the ones who help me feel my best, inside and out.

Triangle Women Who Keep Me Going: Health Care
Dr. Ashley Lloyd
I have been seeing Dr. Ashley Lloyd for dental care, and she has made going to the dentist such a positive experience. She is warm, detail-oriented, and provides excellent preventive care while helping you feel completely at ease. I really appreciate how she and her team take time to explain every step, and I always leave feeling confident about my dental health. If you are looking for a dentist and are near Brier Creek or Durham, go see Dr. Jessica Forestier at Britt Dental Center.
Dr. Ashley Lloyd is at 1330 St Marys St B-30, Raleigh, NC 27605.
Bethany Hauch
A few years ago, I started seeing Bethany for acupuncture, and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to destress and relax. Not only has she helped me achieve some of my health goals, she is also fun to catch up with during visits. She blends traditional Eastern and modern Western medicine to form a comprehensive, integrative path toward healing.
Meagan Thomas
I am a big advocate for therapy and have been seeing Meagan weekly for years now. Our standing lunch-hour sessions are a grounding part of my week, helping me manage anxiety, set boundaries, and work through letting go of control. I have really valued our conversations around women’s empowerment and navigating gender roles. If you are looking for a therapist in the Triangle, I reached out via info@carolinaswc.org to see if she was accepting new clients.
Dr. Megan Jamison
If you have followed me for a while, you know I am a big believer in preventive care—and that includes skin checks. I visit Dr. Megan Jamison at Duke Dermatology and could not recommend her enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, takes the time to walk through every question or concern, and provides thoughtful, proactive care. If you have been putting off scheduling your skin check, consider this your reminder to make that appointment! You can read the letter I wrote my former self about my skin care habits here.
Dr. Susannah Copland
If you are exploring fertility options or simply want to learn more, I cannot recommend Dr. Copland enough. She provides incredible support and realistic context around what can be a sensitive and emotional process. Her empathy and expertise make a world of difference.
Dr. Syreeta Tucker
Dr. Tucker is one of those doctors you feel lucky to have found. She is a powerhouse—warm, direct, and compassionate, with a deep understanding of women’s health. I have appreciated her balance of empathy and medical expertise through every appointment.

Amelia Aesthetics
Angie at Amelia Aesthetics have helped take my skincare game to the next level. Amelia offers a wide range of procedures and medical-grade skincare lines, and I love following along with her (and her colleague, Gretta!) on Instagram for recommendations and behind-the-scenes tips.
Katy J. Baugh
My love for Katy runs deep—we have been together for years now, and my hair and scalp have never been healthier. I completely trust her expertise with color, cuts, and products. She is warm, knowledgeable, and truly cheers her clients on in all areas of life. My appointments with her are always such a joy. She is currently working on opening a new salon, Hue Society, and I am so excited to see it when the big reveal happens! See why I get my hair professionally colored here.
Pranee at Paintbase Salon
Pranee is my go-to nail tech at Paintbase in North Hills, and she is a total gem. She is meticulous, creative, and always delivers the perfect manicure—whether I am going for one of my go-to nail colors or something bright and fun. Paintbase is such a relaxing experience, and Pranee always makes sure my nails are in their best shape. See my favorite nail colors for fall here.
