Happy Friday, friends! I hope you had a great week! Can you believe that February is already here? January was a fun month full of self-care, travel, and getting back into the swing of a new semester. Tomorrow, David and I are heading off for a little staycation, but don’t have a ton of plans in February and are really excited about that! For now, I am excited to share favorite scenes from January and welcome February!

Back in December, David and I tried the new 88 Oaks Restaurant at the recently renovated Hilton near North Hills. We had a great date night, but I took advantage of a cancelled dog sitter and stayed by myself so I could really focus on my goals for 2019.

Kimothy Joy is one of my favorite artists and this print is one of my current favorites. Also, her book, That’s What She Said, is one of my favorite gift options!

I decided not to buy new clothes for an entire year which means I’ve been shopping my closet more. This dress from Amazon that I wore to the Mandolin Farm dinner back in the fall is a favorite one.

David and I have been working on getting our master bedroom finished up so we can start on our home office. This month, I’m sharing a post on master bedroom essentials, so be sure to stay tuned for that.

I was so excited to spend time with my tall friend from Chicago twice over the holiday break. I picked her up from the airport and then took her back to RDU on her 2 week adventure. I am even more excited about a trip back to Chicago this spring to celebrate her 30th!

Another favorite artist of mine is A Thing Created and this one is no exception. I shared on my birthday with the quote “Remember, George, no man is a failure who has friends.” That is one of my favorite quotes from It’s a Wonderful Life and I usually share during the holiday season. I didn’t this year, but after the love and support I received on my birthday, it felt appropriate.

I got this shirt and those earrings as birthday gifts, and I don’t think my friends could have picked better gifts for me! I wore this outfit to see On the Basis of Sex at the Alamo Theater in Raleigh.

This outfit from last spring is still one of my favorites. I wore it to try Hummingbird, and now Hummingbird is offering an outstanding weekend brunch menu!

Ever since we moved into our new house, I am becoming more and more of a home body. I really look forward to spending time relaxing with Winston & Gizmo during the weekend. One of my favorite snacks is POP SECRET® Popcorn, and you can see more from planning our ultimate night in here.

One way I take some time for myself each day is with Oikos yogurt. I’ve never been one for dessert, but the flavors in this yogurt are ones that I gravitate towards when I am looking for dessert options, like lemon merengue and key lime. See more about my intentional self care tips here.
