With the official arrival of spring, I am ready for crisp, cold white wine on my favorite patios around Raleigh (and beyond)! I mentioned in my red wine post last fall that I took wine tasting classes and have enjoyed learning more about my personal preferences when it comes to wines. I still enjoy trying new wines thanks to my wine subscription through the Wine Feed (discount code available in this post) for opportunities to sample new types of wine and learn more about wine varietals. This post compiles my favorite spring white wines that are more widely accessible at your local groceries or Total Wine.
As I mentioned in my red wine post, wine preferences depend on personal tastes. It’s important for me to note that I tend to gravitate towards a Pinot Grigio or a Vinho Verde and I avoid Chardonnays. If you like Chardonnays, great! You just won’t see that reflected in my recommendations below. The 5 bottles that are included in this post are all under $30, and most under $15, so I hope that gives you the opportunity to explore a new wine and get to know what you like, what you don’t like, and what you might consider repurchasing the next time you’re running into the grocery store for a bottle to enjoy over the weekend.
