At the start of quarantine, I made a check list of the various places in our house that needed some purging and some of our kitchen and glassware that needs a little updating. I have a habit of collecting wine glasses so my collection was a bit of a mixed bag of stemware. Quarantine felt like the perfect time to streamline my collection and opt for quality over quantity, especially since my monthly subscription to the Wine Feed has me as a sommelier in training. Here are 5 wine glass styles to add to your collection.
Top 5 Wine Glass Styles to Add to your Collection
Crate & Barrel Stemless Wine Glasses
I picked these glasses up to be multifunctional. They’re not only beautiful and highly functional wine glasses, they are great for water glasses, highball glasses, for dessert, appetizers, or cold soups. I highly recommend these for your collection and they come in singles or a set of 12. I also really like these glasses and this option from Amazon.
Williams Sonoma Vintner Champagne Flutes
Katie shared her white wine glasses over on her Instagram earlier in the spring and I loved the updated look on these classics. I picked up a set of these champagne flutes and recently used them with the Appalachia Bubbles from Grandfather Vineyard. These are a fun, modern take on champagne flutes, too!
Williams Sonoma Vintner White Wine Glasses
These white wine glasses are the ones that got my mind jogging about updating our stemware for quality over quantity. I love the shape of these and love having happy hour with them. As an aside, we’re currently updating our living room and you can see our inspiration here.
Schott Zwiesel Cabernet Glasses
I’ve recently gotten into red wine and these beautiful cabernet glasses have been a lovely addition to our collection. I broke them in with this delicious cabernet from one of my favorite western North Carolina vineyards that I got at The Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock.
Schott Zwiesel Burgundy Glasses
I couldn’t resist the shape of these Burgundy glasses. They will be perfect for our fire pit this fall once it starts cooling off and we do backyard picnics again.
